Where has the time gone????

Okay, so I feel like a very bad blogger since I have not posted anything since Jan.  But with work and baby and house, it seems like this has been one thing that had to slide for awhile.  So an update on Jamison....

   Jamie had his four month check-up a few weeks ago and his growing great.  He is over 14 pounds and is getting longer.  The doc didn't tell me his height and I was too concerned over the looming booster shots to remember to ask for it.  He got four shots which he did not like one bit, but he seemed to do better with them than before.  His doc said that he was a little small for his age and that we should think about starting him on cereal.  I had been wondering about starting him, but all the info I had read seemed to contradict one another.  But on Sunday night Jamie got his first spoonful of Rice cereal.  He loved it and thinks he is a very big boy to be eating from a spoon.  Unfortunately when he smiles all the food I just put in his month comes squishing out, but he is too cute to do anything but scrape it back up and throw it back into his mouth.  Seems like he eats more than he really does since most of the time I am just re-spooning the same cereal over and over again. Oh well, it goes down eventually!

   Jamie isn't rolling over yet, but is close to it.  He is trying to sit up on his own.  He hates when he is laying on a slight slant and tries to pull himself up to sitting, but is just not quite strong enough yet.  He loves his toy arches and is very adept at getting the toys off of the linking rings.  This amazes me since they aren't easy to get on in the first place!

   He had a fun day yesterday when we took him and my sister-in-law Tammy to register for her upcoming baby girl.  It was fun to remember when I registered and how I had no clue how to use most of the stuff I scanned.  It was nice to be able to pass on what little knowledge I have gained in the last 4 months.  I can't wait to meet the new little girl to the extended Schueller clan!  Jamie will have a playmate at family functions now! 

Back to Work :(

Well my time has come to an end :(  I officially went back to work on Jan 5th.  It was a very long day for me.  Jamie did well at his baby-sitter's, who happens to be my sister-in-law.  She is great with children and I am very happy that she decided to watch him for us.  I did have a review and got a raise at work this week, so I guess it is not all bad being a working mom.  I will definitely miss the little guy every minute of every day though :(

Jamie had his two month check up.  He weighs a little over 11 pounds and is 23 inches long!  He has grown so much since birth.  His newborn pictures amazing me already at how small he was. They grow up so fast.  He also got his shots, which he did not like one bit.  I had to hold his hands while they did it and I could have popped them off with how upset I was at him being upset.  He cried the loudest and most heartbreaking cry I have every heard him do.  Scott couldn't stand to watch them poke him and was about in tears himself.  He is such a protective and loving father :)  Although the shots only took a few minutes, Jamie ended up having what we think were nightmares until Thursday. Poor little baby would be sound asleep and then wake up screaming like he was getting the shots all over again.  I know that they were necessary, but I still don't like them :(  

Jamie has finally decided that people are more interesting then the couch or the lamp, and now likes to stare at your face.  He especially likes people with glasses, but I think its just because he can see himself in them, lol.  He really loves his mobile in his crib.  He follows the little animals around in circles with his eyes, while kicking his legs and flapping his arms wildly.  He also loves his other toy that has hanging animals that move when you touch them, and, of course, his musical sea horse.  

He is getting so big so quickly.  It just melts me heart when he looks up at you and gives you 

this huge smile and a little giggle.  We love that little boy!!!

trip time!

Jamie went on his first long trip in the car on Jan 2nd.  We went to visit our friends, Mike and Leah in Detroit.  They have three very rambunctious triplets- Mike Jr, Konrad and Zach.  Jamie enjoyed looking at babies close to his own size and the triplets got a kick out of Jamie.  Those boys are so cute.  They spent the time we were there running around in their walkers and eating baby food like three little growing birds!  One would be being fed while the others popped their mouths open and squealed for more.  I can't wait 'til Jamie is not baby food, well maybe I can :)

  

Jamie was a good little boy on the way down and back.  He only cried once each way and that was for a feeding.  He has now been to a McDonalds and enjoyed a bottle while being rocked in a chair in the middle of Babies r us.  What an adventure for such a little boy!
